I have just designed a new cover for the romantic comedy Flights of Angels.
Flights of Angels is, as you have probably realised, by my wife, Victoria Connelly. It was originally published in Germany where it was a bestseller and it was later was adapted into a film for SAT1 television.
A scene from Himmlischer Besuch für Lisa.
Although written in English it has only been available in German until now. You can download the English version from Amazon – Flights of Angels

Rye Harbour, oil on board, 8×10 inches.
Rye Harbour – Summer Afternoon, oil on board, 6 x 10 inches
painters at work
A five minute sketch in oil on board. 6×8 inches
At the weekend Karl Terry invited a group of friends to join him for a day’s painting. He arranged access to a private stretch of the river at Rye in East Sussex then, in the evening, showed off his skills at the barbeque.
The 5 minute sketch above was the result of a challenge. We all went over the time limit – this one took me about 10 minutes.
Thanks Karl

I visited the Isle of Wight earlier this week to deliver a collection of recent paintings to Island Fine Arts in Bembridge.
After dropping off the pictures there was just time to paint the view from Culver Down, before having a fish and chip supper and catching the ferry home. It would have been nice to have stayed longer.

Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find one of the paintings on the front page of the gallery website. Rye Harbour, shown above, is in oil on board and measures 12 x 12 inches. It was painted on location in the fading light just after sunset.
You can find Island Fine Arts at: 53 High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight, PO35 5SE. Tel: 01983 875 133 and at the Affordable Art Fair 22-25 October, in Battersea Park, London. Stand E6

Yesterday was spent away from painting if you don’t count preparing 30 of the 50 panels and canvases for my next painting trip.
Victoria and I went to Notting Hill for the London launch of her novel Molly’s Millions.
The evening was a great success. The paperback sold out completely – they even took down the window display and sold those too.

There is much excitement here at the moment. Today is the official publication date for my wife’s novel Molly’s Millions.
She has previously had two novels published in Germany, one of which was made into a film, but this is her first novel to be published in the UK.
You can read all about it on her website victoriaconnelly.com and there is also a competition to win a signed copy.
